Welcome to SmileFix ("we," "our," or "us"). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This privacy policy will inform you as to how we look after your personal data when you use our application and tell you about your privacy rights and how the law protects you.

2. Data We Collect

We collect minimal data necessary to provide our services:

• Photos and face data: Images you choose to process (including faces within them). We do not create biometric templates. On-device, we may detect facial regions and landmarks solely to let you pick which face to edit.
• Device Information: Device model, OS version, and unique device identifiers for subscription management (via RevenueCat).
• Usage Data: Anonymous analytics to help us improve the app stability and performance.

3. How We Handle Face Data

• Collection: Only the photos you pick and the facial regions/landmarks derived from those photos. No continuous camera capture beyond the image you select.
• Use: To apply smile/expression corrections, eye fixes, and preview/export results you request.
• Sharing: We do not share face data with third parties. If you explicitly share or export a processed photo, it is sent only to the destination you choose (e.g., Photos or a share sheet target).
• Storage & location: Processing happens on-device and through our secure image processing service. Photos are transmitted via TLS for processing and held only temporarily to produce the output, then discarded. Nothing is kept for model training or marketing.
• Retention: By default we do not retain your photos. If you save a photo, it is stored locally on your device (or Photos, if you allow). Server-side processing artifacts are deleted after the result is returned.
• User control: You can delete any saved photos from the app or your Photos library at any time.

4. How We Use Other Data

We use your data solely for:

• Providing the AI photo editing features.
• Managing your subscription and credits.
• Improving app performance and fixing bugs.

5. Data Security

We implement appropriate security measures to prevent your personal data from being accidentally lost, used, or accessed in an unauthorized way. Your photos are processed securely and are not shared with third parties for marketing purposes.

6. Third-Party Services

We use trusted third-party services for specific functions:

• RevenueCat: For subscription management.
• Firebase: For backend infrastructure and analytics.
• AI Providers: For image processing (images are processed ephemerally and not retained for training).
